Thanks for stopping by…
My name is Dylan Gates and I have been training English teachers since 2009.
Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) is a wonderful way to travel the world and meet people from different cultures.
There is a huge demand for English language teachers all around the world. English is the global language of trade and communication. People around the world know that being able to speak English can help them achieve their goals.
Teaching English makes a real difference to people’s lives. My former students were able to find work, enrol in higher education programmes, and travel the world because they learned how to communicate in English.
But teaching English can also make a difference to your life.
You could be soaking up the sun on a beach in Thailand, wandering the ancient streets of Rome, waking up to a glorious sunrise in China, sharing tapas with friends in Spain.
Teaching English as a foreign language probably won’t make you rich. You may only teach for a year or two. Many teachers go back home after a couple of years and continue studying or find a different job.
But what teaching English can do is provide you with unforgettable experiences that you will remember for the rest of your life.
And things are changing…
With digital technology, teachers no longer have to stay in one place. Many teachers decide they love teaching but want to do it from home.
Well, now you can. Many teachers make a decent living teaching classes online, via Skype or other webcam platforms. Start-up costs are low and students are plentiful. Teachers with professional experience may find work teaching other professionals.
If you are a native speaker of English or if English is your second language and you speak it fluently, you should be able to teach English.
But to teach English well, you need some training.
This site is designed for English teachers. Feel free to look around….
